Finding HOPE & RESILIENCE in a 6th-Grade Classroom

A letter from an educator:

I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for providing the Unbroken curriculum to our 6th grade class. My students were profoundly moved by Louis Zamperini’s story — not only by his courage and endurance during the war, but especially by the struggles he faced afterward and the way he chose forgiveness and resilience.

What has been most meaningful is how deeply my students connected Louis’s experiences to their own lives. They saw parallels between his emotional journey and the challenges they face growing up today — learning to persevere, to process hardship, and to find strength in compassion. The curriculum made these themes real, human, and inspiring in ways that will stay with them for years to come.
